    The only remotely decent thing about this junk — and that’s assuming it even holds up — is that the glass looks okay. Haven’t tested it yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that fails too.

    Everything else? Complete garbage. The only way you can even attempt to use this thing is by physically modifying it yourself — yes, drilling into it — which says everything you need to know. It’s not even close to being production-ready. Screws are stripped, holes are useless, and the whole thing feels like it could collapse if you so much as breathe on it.

    And to top it off, the so-called 3/4 thread is a joke. You can’t mount it properly on a tripod because some genius decided to put a plate in the way that stops the screw from sitting flush. You’d literally have to cut a hole yourself just to make it work.

    This is an absolute embarrassment of a product. Total waste of time and money. The only real regret is opening it too late to send it straight back.

    Very flimsy - screws holding one of the pieces tore out as I was unpacking the item - the bit that holds the camera. Very weak aluminium and poor threads and screws. This would not last past a day filming and would be destroyed before you finished shooting the first scene.

    I'm a high school teacher, and I bought this teleprompter to help record video lessons necessitated by our move to Emergency Remote Teaching due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

    The build is excellent, solid but light and portable, and it folds down easily. The screen is a good size. It works extremely well with my iPhone. It also fits my iPad, but I do have to adjust the margins in my teleprompter app so text is not cut off.

    I usually film with a camcorder. I do have some issues fitting the hood around the view screen, and the camera lines up slightly off centre to the screen. Nothing insurmountable though.

    All in all, an excellent teleprompter for its price. A very good value.

    Have used this with phone and DSLR cameras, it works well with a few caveats:

    - The screws to lock the frame at the correct angle are fiddly and it's easy to accidentally get the hinge screws instead if you haven't used it for a while and forget which one is which.
    - It's hard to get a phone close enough to the frame, with today's big wide-angle phone cameras that does mean you're forced to use zoom to avoid getting the corners of the frame in view. No issues with a DSLR, the T-track works great for those.
    - The light exclusion hood is quite stiff and not quite big enough for a DSLR, meaning you often get a gap through which light escapes, making it hard to read the reflection on screen. I think this has gone through a few revisions as other people mention zips, whereas mine has toggle cords for securing it.

    That said it's one of the cheaper options out there, the glass is good quality with no in-camera reflections and it's solid once assembled with a standard tripod mount. It also comes with a good carry case that has just enough spare space to store a couple of extra cleaning cloths and stow the prompter with a quick release mount attached, making assembling the frame and sorting out the hood the only awkward bits of using it.

    全体に剛性があるのと、後方のプレートに左右の溝が切られているため、スマホを利用した場合、スマホのカメラがスマホ本体の角にあるため、カメラを真ん中に持ってくる調整がしやすい。また前方のタブレットを置く場所も、幅広のプレート（アングル？）であるため、大きめのタブレットを載せても安定しておりたゆまない。さすがGlide Gearです。経験からくる細かな配慮があり、秀品です。このGlide GearのテレプロンプターとLuna Displayのテレプロンプターモードを利用してパワーポイントやワードのファイルを映すと、ほんとに簡単に視線のぶれない動画がとれます。視線がぶれないといかにもプロが説明しているという説得感が3割増しぐらいあります。プロンプターを複数購入しましたが、Glide Gearがおすすめです。なおこのGlide GearTMP50にはipad 11インチは利用可能でした。しかしipad12.9インチはちょっとだけ大きすぎて入りませんでした。ご注意下さい。

    The Glide Gear TMP50 is a good solution for a teleprompter for solo video recordings. TMP50 is only for smartphones and small tablets as the teleprompter source display. I have found the size of the teleprompter text with a large smartphone to be quite satisfactory for my setup with my Sony ZV-1 camera. You will want to test out ahead of time with your video camera and your setup. (i.e. Can you easily read teleprompter text on your smartphone or small tablet at the distance of your camera and with your desired framing?)

    The TMP50 works perfectly using a Google Pixel 2 XL smartphone with its 6.0-inch (152 mm) screen as the prompter text source. It also works with a Google Pixel 4a smartphone with its 5.8-inch (148 mm) screen as the prompter text source. The TMP50 allows easy mounting and access to the smartphone including cable access and buttons on the phone sides and back. It's also easy to remove and replace the smartphone to setup more complex operations like navigating app menus.

    The TMP50 does not work with an 9.7-inch (250 mm) iPad. The iPad fits on the Glide Gear TMP50's support bracket, but the reflecting surface is not big enough to reflect the width of the iPad screen-- see photo. You will need a larger teleprompter such as the TMP100 for use with an 9.7" iPad.

    I am using the TMP50 with a Sony ZV-1 camera. I've found it necessary to use a bracket to mount the camera centered behind the teleprompter using the TMP50's front-back mounting slot. I'm using the excellent UURig Base Mount Bracket (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FHV5GZL) which provides optical-axis-aligned 1/4-20 mounting holes. (Smallrig makes a similar product that should work.) Centering the camera is critical for operation of the camera at full wide angle without vignetting or obstruction by the teleprompter and its cloth shroud.

    The ZV-1 can't be centered in the TMP50 using the ZV-1's built-in off-axis 1/4-20 hole. When the camera is mounted off-center it is has to be mounted skewed about 15-degrees to the teleprompter's center axis to avoid vignetting or obstruction by the teleprompter and its cloth shroud at full wide angle. I don't know how well this will work with the teleprompter effect.

    In addition to the front-back mounting slot, the TMP50 has a left-right mounting slot to correct the centering of smartphone cameras. But the slot is too close to the half-mirror glass for use with the ZV-1 (and probably most other cameras). (The ZV-1 lens will collide with the teleprompter glass if mounted to the left-right slot.)

    The ZV-1 view screen can't be flipped to monitor the frame while mounted behind the teleprompter. If you try to view it through the teleprompter you will obscure the teleprompter half-mirror effect making your source text unreadable. But Sony offers smartphone and computer "Imaging Edge" control apps. These allow you to monitor your ZV-1 frame on a computer or smartphone or tablet. (Obviously, you can't use the same smartphone you are using as the teleprompter source text.)

    This teleprompter doesn't come with a teleprompter text app. I am using the PromptSmart app. It works quite well and will track your voice to follow your script, or you can control scrolling with a PromptSmart remote control app on a second smartphone running the same OS as the PromptSmart app.

    I wanted to spare myself $100 and went with the smaller version and it was well worth it. The smaller version is portable and yet still easily read.

    Using it with a 12” ring light (11” opening on the interior) and needed a higher mount ball (3rd photo) in order to secure both devices. I’m using an iPhone for the teleprompter and another as the video camera.
